my inbox always says one message in it but there is no message. How to delete this statement?

I searched back , way way back through my messages, but can find nothing. How can i delete the "one message" notice in my inbox?

Maybe theres an unread message you marked as safe in your deleted messages.

    Try View> Sort by Unread

    maybe there is actually an unread message

    Maybe theres an unread message you marked as safe in your deleted messages.

    If you use Internet Explorer, there is a box on the top row that has arrows on it, it’s next to the Home key. It’s called Refresh. If you click on that, and you may have to do it several times, it will clear the incorrect message count.
