How would I write this statement in words that 2nd grader would understand?
December 28, 2010 - 6:41 pm
The Statement is: You have the right to belong to a country and nobody can prevent you, without a good reason, from belonging to a country if you wish. I need to rewrite this statement in words so that a 2nd grader would understand it. And I have to provide a picture to go with it. Soo what kind of picture should I look for? … Please and Thankyou ever so much…=D
And also I need to Explain how it might apply to my life. And Give an example or description that relates me to the article
"You are allowed to belong in a country, and no one can stop you if they don’t have a good reason."
As for a picture,
you could use a picture of the UN, perhaps?

You have the right to be in a country unless a person has good reason to keep you out?

"You have the choice to live in any country you want to." If they want an explanation beyond that then tell it straight.
For the picture, maybe have some smiling people with flags all around from different countries.

Well, I think that is a misleading statement frankly, because some countries will not allow you to belong unless you have a grandparent who came from there. England will not allow Americans to belong to their country. Illegal aliens cannot belong to our country unless they go through the legality and become citizens.

Compare it to being part of a family. You are born into a family and are a part of that family. In certain situations people become part of another family. Put up a picture of a family.
